Euregional and Sunday market
For fans of good taste
8 to 13 hours
Local products, produced by Aubel craftspeople running businesses both large and small, enjoy a reputation for quality that has spread far beyond the borders of Belgium for many years. What a joy to go to Aubel’s euregional Sunday market!
A market overflowing with a feast for the eyes and the palate: traditional cheeses, free-range eggs, vegetables, meat, cooked and cured meats, and gastronomic specialities of the Aubel region. This market has become the place for connoisseurs in the multicultural landscape of the Trois Frontières (three borders) area. These mornings of pleasure, colour and sweetness are enhanced by musical groups who regularly play at the market. The market also plays host to painters at the beginning of September.
Aubel market is not a recent creation: there has been a corn market here since the 17th century. Nowadays, the market’s reputation is based on fresh produce. If you don’t have time to visit Aubel’s Sunday market, don’t worry! There is also a Tuesday market in the centre of the village which also specialises in fresh produce.
